| If your thought ubiquitous bad chardonnay gave wine drinking a moot name in the United States, think again. It's zinfandel that's the bigger problem. Most zinfandel sold is an abomination of taste and reason, and those who consume it are hapless dolts who would be better off drinking sugary ice tea generously laced with cheap vodka. Most zinfandel on the shelves is not wine. It's a liquid flavored with fetid lugubrium and should only be drunk while hopping on one leg and holding your nose. This process masks its bad flavours. | Lucius Licinius Lucullus |
